Santhana Gopala Krishna is an infant form of Lord Vishnu who blesses with progeny.
This ritual is performed along with a Vedic ritual called 'Putra Kameshti Homa' which is an exclusive remedy (Shanti Karma) to obtain a well-knowledged, healthy and blessed child.
